Psalm 31:3-5
“For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me. Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for thou art my strength. Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O Lord God of truth.”
Our prayer, our desire, our purpose, should be to have that Filter. To live a purified life before the Lord Jesus Christ. There is so much in the world that may be lawful, but it isn’t expedient for us. And in this day and age without a proper filter in place you’ll simply satisfy the desires of the flesh with fleeting pleasures and joys. Our ambition should be to draw up into ourselves living water, and why shouldn’t we when we have it so readily available?
No other age has recorded the voice of its Prophet as we have been able to do so. No other time has had such quantity of knowledge available to them. With such amounts of knowledge comes the understanding of how to apply our faith. We should all the more be diving deeper into God’s Word and drawing our strength from Him, for He is our daily strength.
God will lead you to streams of living water. He will give you what you need, and that is His grace to you. Live in the fulness of the Word. Live with the correct Filter in place so that God can produce fruit in you that is a hundred fold. Let that be your prayer. Let that be your desire.
65-0822E - “A Thinking Man's Filter”
Oh, hide me in the Rock of ages! God, let me, let me. Breathe upon me, Lord. Spirit of the living God, breathe on me. Let me take God's Filter and live under That, Lord. Let me breathe the fresh air of the Holy Ghost into my lungs, in my soul each day, that I sin not against You, O Lord. Breathe on me, Holy Spirit, breathe on me! I... Let me plant the Word of God in my heart, and purpose there that I'll not turn to the right hand or to the left hand, away from It, but I'll live true to It all the days of my life. And, O Father God, then send down upon me the Holy Spirit of Life, to quicken those Words to me, that I might manifest Jesus Christ before those who are before me, to looking for it to happen. That's my prayer.
