Romans 8:10-11

“And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you”.

The fruit that we have in our lives bears witness to what is really inside. A lot of individuals may frantically self examine when they hear this kind of phrase. You might be thinking, “Okay, I shouldn’t be doing that, but is this over here wrong?”  It is only natural to think that way. Keep in mind that what you are on the inside will eventually come out on the outside, no matter how hard you try to hide it.

In the book of John, we are told that what is flesh can only make more flesh, however, what is of the Spirit will produce that of the Spirit (John 3:6). It is not a matter of works alone. Although works are very important, as they are a kind of fruit that comes from within. The only way to really see what is on the inside is to watch what you do with the Word. Do you question something that you see directly in the Scripture and turn away from it, or turn a blind eye?

The Believer simply cannot turn away from the Word, because the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead cannot turn away from its own Word. The Holy Spirit cannot compromise on its own Word. We must be sure we have Christ. For Christ bears His own Word, living through our lives.

That Word will, one day, change your mortal body at the rapture. It is not of works that we boast, but through faith that we are saved, and that is by the Grace of God. Thank the Lord for His Holy Spirit that indwells the Bride of Christ.

65-0410 - "The Easter Seal"

I'm wondering, today. It's what's happening. Are we really getting the people to God? Are we just getting them to church? We must get them to Christ, where this quickening power. It's good to go to church. Sure. If that's as far as we go, it's not far enough. When you come to church, that's good; but go on to Christ, from the church, because we must receive this quickening power, if we ever expect to be in that general resurrection, because it's the only thing that will ever bring us from the dead. "For if this Spirit that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, It'll also quicken, make, bring to life your mortal bodies." What a promise to us!
