John 8:32

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

The Message of the Hour has a lot to do with honesty. Perhaps you have talked to someone before about the Message, and you’ve shown them the Scripture and they see the truth, that the Message really comes from the Scripture. Yet, they will not conform to it. What is happening is that they may have a profession of Christianity, but it is not accompanied by acting on the truth of the Word, it is not accompanied by faith in the Word.

When faced with something that is against their desires, their wants, their society, their culture, their comfort zone, or anything else that conflicts with their ideology, they will not follow it. Someone who sees the Truth, and not only professes it, but acts on it, is someone God can work with. Christ wants Christians who profess the Truth with honest words, and then act on that Word with honest actions.

It takes an honesty from the heart to look at a Scripture and act on that truth. The Message brings you face to face with truth, and you have to be honest with yourself and your profession when that happens. The Scripture even confirms that this will happen in Ⅱ Timothy 4:4, “And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”

Be honest with yourself before the Lord. Be honest with God about where you stand. Coming face to face with Truth requires honesty, because nothing can be hid from God. When you accept the Truth in its fullness, you have every promise of the Word in your possession.

65-0410 - “The Easter Seal”

It's the Holy Spirit, today, hunting out honest hearts that will believe that Message. Everything in the Bible, that was promised, is to that believer. And when you accept it in its fulness, and God knows that you'll do it, He gives you the abstract to that. And then every promise that's made is in your possession, and the Holy Spirit is there to quicken that to you. Oh, my! What—what kind of people should we be? How wonderful to see the God's great Holy Spirit here to do that power! Think of it. When, the Holy Ghost Itself, here to bear record of this hour. Jesus said so. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever.
