Romans 1:16
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”

Someone raised in a Christian home most likely won’t know what it is like to be witnessed to. They grew up hearing it, they understood the basic concepts, and they heard it all the time. But for someone who didn’t grow up with those blessings, there had to be a person open up and share the Gospel with them. The reason they know the Truth is because someone broke through the barrier of pride or embarrassment to share the Gospel with them. Someone wasn’t ashamed to share the Truth, and because of that, another soul was brought into the Kingdom of God.

Living out the principles of Scripture, in a life that is submitted to Christ, is a witness to someone around you. Have you ever had someone come up to your family and say, “I see you all dress a certain way.” That is because you are showing yourself a witness to what you believe. A Believer should never be ashamed of this. God doesn’t want His children to be ashamed of His truth. As Paul said to the Romans, “To the Jew and to the Greek, this Gospel is the very life and power they need to get to Glory. It not only saved you, but it will also save them.”

Someone who understands what the Message is all about, that it is the revelation of who Christ is to His Bride and what He is doing in this day and time, that person is not ashamed of this glorious Truth. The culture tries to make the Church more and more like itself, but the Church still has a standard to hold. Christ has given us the opportunity to share life and power to those around us.

Don’t be ashamed of what you stand for. The Gospel is life and power; not only to you, but to those around you.

65-0711 - “Ashamed”
That's what it is when you know that you're talking to Him! You would think it was a foolish thing when somebody… When, I know that there is a few people in the world holds on to what I say to be the Truth. To stand here and say, "THUS SAITH THE LORD, I'm going to Arizona, there I'll meet seven Angels in a cluster," well, there was a group of man standing there to see it happen. The other night, saying it, "Los Angeles would fall into the ocean." But when you have met God, and the God Who doesn't fail, the God Who does exactly what He said He would do, He has always done it, you're not ashamed of it then. You don't have to walk back and be embarrassed about it; you can tell the whole world. When a man meets God, talks to Him, and the reality of God becomes his in his heart, he's not ashamed of It.
