Proverbs 21:2

Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts.

There are those frightful moments in our lives when we we’re talking to a family member or spouse and we knew, that we knew, that we knew something and it turned out we were wrong. Being wrong is not something humans do well. We run up the hill, plant our flag down and say, “I am dying on this hill, however small it may be, because I know I’m right.” Some people tend to do that a little too often for their own good.

When it comes to spiritual matters, however, the situation becomes very serious. Seeing things as right in our own eyes, and unwilling to accept God’s way, can lead us straight to spiritual death (Proverbs 14:12). God’s ways are perfect and who would even try to instruct Him on how to run His program? It would be foolish to try to instruct the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, on a situation “in the middle”. He is the potter and needs no guidance from the clay on how He should mold and shape it.

Sometimes we can have trouble just letting go and letting God have His way in our lives. It is easy to do, and the never ending struggle between the flesh and the inner man will always keep us on our toes. The goal is to forsake our thoughts, forsake our ways, and just let the Alpha and Omega take care of it in His ways. Our focus should be on being open to listening for His voice and following His instructions. Rely on the Word and rely on Thus Saith The Lord which came from a Prophet to our day. He knows where your heart is headed, and He ponders your intentions. His promise concerning you will not go unfulfilled.

Are you walking in your ways too much? Are you getting in the Lord’s way? Why not let go and let God have His wonderful way.

53-1201 - “God's Provided Way”

Now, there's only two ways of anything: That's the right way and the wrong way. And them ways are your ways and God's way. And you can't be in your way and God's way at the same time. You've got to forget your own way to get in God's way. And you got to get out of your own way to get in God's way. For as long as you're in your own way, you're out of His way. So forsake your ways, forsake your thoughts, forsake everything, and just rely one thing, on THUS SAITH THE LORD. That's all. Then you know you're right.
