Exodus 9:16
“And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.”

On April 7, 1971, Billy Graham made a call to President Nixon and told him he appreciated how he talked about the involvement of the U.S. in Vietnam. Nixon said, “It means an awful lot,” when Billy Graham said there were many people praying for him and the American conflict. Graham had many such conversations with the presidents over time. He would talk with them on matters of foreign affairs, personal issues, and the spiritual condition of the nation. He was one of the very few religious leaders relied on so heavily by presidents of the United States in its history.

Billy Graham preached the gospel to as many as 215 million people in live audiences in over 185 countries. As one of the two messengers to Sodom, Billy Graham swept the nation with his revival meetings. His ministry affected not only the U.S., but the whole world. Yet he himself said, “The great question of our time is, will we be motivated by materialistic philosophy or by spiritual power?” He understood the importance of material power, yet he would never have been able to draw the amount of people had he preached like William Branham preached. They were two separate ministries, with two separate callings.

What Billy Graham lacked was the power of God sweeping through audiences where people could see God manifesting Himself in reality. The dead were being raised, the dumb were speaking, and the lame were walking in the ministry of William Branham. It was to catch the attention, not of the whole world like Billy Graham, but to catch the attention of the Bride. The old fashioned Pentecostal style meetings may not have been as popular, but that is where Bro. Branham found himself, and that is where God was working at that present time.

We may never understand why God has certain men in certain places. God sent Billy Graham for a purpose, just as he sent William Branham for a purpose. He will do the exact same for you if you trust His leading and don’t turn away from it.
Go rejoicing throughout your day, thanking God for His caring hand upon our lives.

53-1110 - “I Will Restore”
The move of God's on, I don't care what they say. Don Wells then struck off to Billy Graham as hard as he could to get him to it. But Billy said he couldn't preach it. And he believed it, but he couldn't preach it before the people. Let me tell you something, brother. O God, I love Billy Graham and his work. I want to do everything that I can. But no wonder that man has put forth every effort he can, I believe, and go. But what Billy lacks is an old fashion Pentecostal experience to get back there and to bring God down in the power of His resurrection. Certainly.
