Romans 12:2

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

The first step in finding the perfect will of God is that you not be conformed to this world. The second step is that you be, instead, transformed.

According to Webster, “transformed” means, “a change in composition and structure, to change condition and character.” It is an overhaul. Not just a simple suggestion of change, but an actual transformation occurs, from something old to something new.

Do not let the world that creeps in conform you or fashion you into a certain mold, but let yourself be transformed and completely changed in structure. The difference is that, while the world will paint you up to be something you are not, the Lord will completely overhaul you into something real. The Lord doesn’t want a bunch of “put ons” in His army; rather, He wants real rugged Christians who are not just conformed to His ways, but have been completely transformed into Christ.

Are you a conformer to Christianity? Or are you a transformed individual, sold out to Christ? Paul said that he actually died to himself every day (I Corinthians 15:31). The second step to finding the perfect will of God is to be transformed.

If you need to stop just conforming and be transformed, then you can do that today; you can do that right now. Reach out to the Lord and say, “Lord, transform me by your power. Let me be a real rugged Christian, transformed by the power of God today, right now.”

Don’t be conformed, be transformed.

65-0911 - “God's Power To Transform”

Now this word transformed, I looked up in the dictionary, yesterday. When, I almost lost track of the time that I was to be up here, when I was looking for a text, and I found this word, or this text, rather, Scripture. And in the dictionary it says that it's "something that's changed." It's to be "changed." Transformed, "made different than what it was." It's been, "Its character and everything has been changed in it," to transform.
