Hebrews 13:8

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.

Things change so rapidly in today’s world. Time passes by so quickly. You get older faster than you want, your health begins to change and your hair begins to turn gray. Your children change so quickly as they grow up. The workplace changes so rapidly due to technology and progress.

Sometimes as Believers, we fail to see how we ourselves change as a result of walking in the Word of God. We fail to see all that God has done in our lives to mold us, mature us, and shape us. Tending to focus on the negative aspects of our lives is a trick of the devil, but we all do it more than we should. We see all the bad things about us, and things that haven’t changed, instead of all that God has done in our lives to make us more like Him.

A.W. Pink once wrote, "God cannot change for the better, for He is already perfect; and being perfect, He cannot change for the worse."

God is a God of change, but He doesn’t change. That statement might seem contradictory, but let me explain it further. You change into the image of God, but God’s Word does not change. God does not change His mind, but our lives are molded and shaped from the creature we once were into what we are in His mind.

Rest confidently in the fact that the Lord will never change. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is that sure stronghold in your life that will never change or fade away. You, however, will continually be changing more and more into His image as you live your life, resting in that stronghold.

65-0418E - “Does God Ever Change His Mind About His Word?”

Yet, "He prospers," you say. You can't believe That by prosperity. You can't judge God by prosperity. The world prospers. Balaam prospered by it. But, brother, you judge God by His Word. He keeps His Word and identifies It the Truth. So, remember, friend, as long as you live, don't you never forget this: God doesn't change His mind. Yet, He will bless. He will let you go His permissive will, but He won't change His mind. He won't change His plan. He won't change His Word, for you. No, sir. You've got to change. You can't have God's Word to match your experience; you've got to have your experience to match God's Word. See? That's the way you've got…
