Romans 12:1-2

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

What is a reasonable service that you would repay someone with, that gave themselves to die, hanging on a cross for you? It is almost impossible to respond to this question with anything but, “I would give everything I am.” Matthew Henry writes in the commentary on the book of Romans, “God does not impose upon us anything hard or unreasonable, but that which is altogether agreeable to the principles of right reason.” A reasonable service to the One who gave us life, salvation, redemption and so much more deserves our entire beings.

Those who are conformed to this world in mind and deed will never be able to fully accomplish this reasonable service to the Lord. The only way to achieve giving our entire selves as a living sacrifice that is holy and acceptable unto God is to be transformed in our minds. When our minds have been drastically changed in character and behavior, we can prove what the perfect will of God is. This is entirely acceptable and perfect in the sight of God.

How can you be doing your service to the Lord when your mind is being constantly filled by worldly things and thinking? Fill your mind with Godly things and this will enable the transformation of your mind to begin. God transforms your mind, but you must allow the process to begin.

Will you allow life to come down that channel into your being? Are you doing your reasonable service?

62-0311 - "The Greatest Battle Ever Fought"

But, your mind accepts It. It grasps It. What is your mind controlled by? Your spirit. And your spirit catches the Word of God, and that's the thing that's got Life in It. It brings Life into you. Oh, brother! When that takes place, when Life comes down that channel, into you, the Word of God is manifested in you. "If ye abide in Me, and My Words abide in you, then ask what you will and it'll be done for you."

78  Then what does that do? From the middle of the heart, which is the soul, from there goes forth, feeding every channel. The trouble of it is, we're standing in here with a lot of doubt, trying to accept what's out there. You've got to stop that; and come down that channel with the true Word of God, and then it goes out, itself, automatically. It's what's on the inside. That's the thing that counts, is the inside.
Satan's approach is from the inside.
