James 1:12

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

Every once in awhile, something will happen in a church that will shake its foundations to the very core. Someone will spread division, or something will happen that shocks everyone. We suddenly wake up to the fact that we are all indeed just human beings. Which individuals are, and are not, firmly grounded in the Lord and standing strong in the Word, will always be made known in time.

Are you standing firm in the Word? When the hard times come - because they will come - will your faith in God’s Word stand the test?

Blessed is the individual who knows that their faith is firmly founded in the Truth, and the Lord is with them. Because when the hard times come, whether in life, or the church or on whatever front it may be, and they are tested and tried, they will stand true. That is why it is important to know where you stand.

Those that endure those trials and have their faith locked into Christ, they shall receive the crown of life. The Lord has promised that to you. If He promised something to you, then it doesn’t matter what kind of calamity or crisis could strike your church, or whatever it may be, because you can stand the test.

Can you stand the test? Make sure you take your stand in Christ alone.

63-0112 - “Influence”

You just put one or two good members in a church, that's really on fire for God, it'll do something for that church, more than forty revivals you could have. Right. A good, cleansed member, set an example, with a the face shining with the glory of God, with sweetness and humility, to stand there in the power of God. And, watch, when somebody gets sick, they'll call that person to come pray. Or, you might make fun of them, and their tire is deflated, and so forth. You might all this nonsense say. But let death strike you one time, you'll find out, when them struggles begins to come, who that real sincere person is in the church.
