Romans 8:28

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Do you really believe that your whole day is in the hands of Almighty God?

The Scripture says that “all things”, work to the good of those who love Him and are the called according to His purpose. If you believe you are called according to His purpose, and the love of God abides in your soul, then indeed, all things are in the ever watchful eyes of God and working toward something good. This would include even the most ordinary of days.

Sometimes, you might be looking forward to doing something, and it doesn’t work out for whatever reason. You instead have to stay home and do something else. Do you relish the time that you get to spend at home in your meaningless task, or do you spend the day griping about not getting to do whatever it was? Sometimes, God puts us in hard spots that are not fun or enjoyable at all to produce something in us that is beautiful.

Every second of our day needs to be viewed with this perspective. If you take the attitude of, “Okay, the Lord has His hand on this situation, I’ll trust in Him”, then you will most likely live a happier life. You might not see any easier situations or less burdensome trials, but you can live with the confidence that God works every single second of the day for something good.

What is your perspective of your day? Are you viewing it as ordinary, or are you viewing it as a special moment that God has crafted just for you? He works all things for the good.

62-0708 - “A Super Sign”

"All things work together for good to them that love God." Over Sedalia, where I was wanted to go so bad. I had so many letters in there. Brother Borders, when he got down there, he said, somehow another they kind of turned me down, and on account of something I had said on a tape, some Doctrine. They didn't care for It. So that was all right, that's every fellow, you know. But they didn't know what they were doing. If they would have took It, I couldn't have come to Grass Valley. The reason they turned It down, (they didn't know it) it was God bringing me to Grass Valley.
