I Peter 1:13

Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

There was a good friend of mine, a young man, that attended Ohio University a while back. The university was having a special flag ceremony and prayer day where the students who wanted to pray could come and offer a prayer during the ceremony. This young man was the only one who showed up out of a university of 50,000 students. He showed up to a large, empty, parade field with the individuals raising the flag. He stood there completely alone and prayed.

When there is a conviction on your heart it must be accompanied by sincere action. When God gives conviction He will test that conviction and faith therein, because that testing will show the level of your sincerity. The Apostle Peter says to gird up the loins of your mind and be ready to act upon the revelation that is given to you that Jesus Christ is the mystery of God revealed.

We need more individuals willing to act in sincerity and gird up the loins of their minds in action upon their faith. God requires sincerity. Have you prepared your mind for the testing of your faith? Are you sincere and sober about where you stand upon the revelation of the Word?

Remember, it is grace that was brought to you by God. Marvelous and glorious grace that has been given to you out of love. Have the sincerity to stand alone on your convictions that are based upon the truth of the Word in this dark age. Prepare yourselves and be sincere before the Lord in the grace He has given.

63-1028 - “Pardon”

I noticing, the other night, in that great famous meeting of one of our great renowned brothers in California. And I noticed that meeting, as those people come down, young teen-age children. I admired the brother for his great stand; anybody would. If you position, see what place he's taken in the last days, you will too. And as I noticed those people coming down to the altar, to make a decision, girls chewing chewing gum, boys punching one another, people laughing, that isn't the way to come godly sorrowful. You must come under conviction. God, send us an old-fashion, pentecostal, Holy Ghost revival that'll bring sin to the root and bring conviction to men and women.

Not to say, "I'll go back to the church and I'll renew my fellowship. I'll sign a card." That's all right, but you can join the Masons, Odd Fellows, and anything, and get the same results.

But when you come under God's pardoning atonement of the Blood of Jesus Christ, there's got to be a sincerity set in there. God requires sincerity.
