Proverbs 6:16-19
“These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.”

The imagination is a powerful and amazing ability that humans possess. It is the imagination that allowed Einstein to formulate his idea of relativity.  It was imagination that allowed Henry Ford to dream up the first Model T Ford. Amazingly, we all possess an imagination. The trouble arises, however, when we allow our imaginations to be used by satan. Our imagination is one avenue that satan uses into the spirit realm. A heart that has wicked imaginations, the Lord hates.

Satan can cause us to formulate wrong opinions and conclusions, he can cause us to make judgements, and dwell on bad thoughts, all while using our imagination. This is why the Apostle Paul tells us in Ⅱ Corinthians 10:5, “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” We have the ability to cast down imaginations before they even get started in our mind, we do this by bringing them subject to the Word of God. If something isn’t right then we cast it down and move on.

God hates it when individuals allow satan to use their imaginations against them. Satan tries ever so hard to set our thinking against God and His Word. We have to constantly subject our thinking and our minds to the Word so that satan doesn’t get a foothold. Keep your mind stayed on Him, and keep your imagination healthy.

57-0126E - “When Divine Love Is Projected, Sovereign Grace Takes Its Place”
And God, the Creator, Who created all things by His power, through His spoken Word… And everything that is, is the Word of God made manifest; the entire world was made. And how we do error when we try to ignore God’s Word or try to limit God’s power by our own imagination. For the very earth that you’re setting over tonight, is only the Word of God made manifest. God made the world by His spoken Word. Oh, my! The dirt, all of the minerals, the gold, all the waters, and everything that there is, is only God’s spoken Word. If not, where did He get it? Where did it come from? God said, “Let there be,” and it was. Then what faith should we have in Him and in His Word?
