II Peter 3:10-14

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,  Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.  Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

For centuries, Christians all over the world have awaited one thing: the Second Coming of Christ. To the Christian, it is the culmination of a life well lived for Christ; it is the beginning of the life we anticipate so much. His coming to redeem His Bride is one of the main consolations to the Believer.

According to Scripture, there is nothing left to happen but His coming. The very next prophetic event is the going home of the Bride. No matter who you are, where you live, what you do, who you are related to, how many sermons you preach, or anything else; there is one thing for sure, and that is His imminent return. What a wonderful time to be a Christian.

What a time it is to be living, and to be telling your children, “Someday soon, the Lord will come.”  Sometimes it is good to remind our children, or just ourselves, of the importance of the time we live in as Believers.

How should we live, knowing what we know? Knowing that the time is close at hand, the end time is upon us, and the coming of the Lord is near; how should we conduct ourselves as Believers? We should conduct our lives, and apply the Token in our homes and hearts, as if He would come in only 10 minutes. Go to school, and do what the Lord has called you to do for your work, just the same as if nothing was going to happen.
Yet be a Christian as if you would be kneeling in front of Him in only a few moments, at the end of all things. Be fervent in the faith and live to the Lord as humbly and dedicated as ever.

What an exciting time to be a Believer! Let us continue to live fervently to the Lord.

Should evangelists continue on the field?

In this hour, of course, what they mean. Certainly, by all means; don't change a thing. If Jesus is coming in the morning, preach today like it was going to be ten years from today, but live like it's going to be at this hour.
