Isaiah 58:11

And the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.

Are you satisfied with where you are in life? Are you satisfied with where you are with God?

Most individuals, myself included, would say, “No, I’m not satisfied with where I am or where I am with God.” There are always things we look back at and say, “I wish I had done that differently or I wish I hadn’t made that choice.” This is just a fact of life that we will always have things that we wish we had done differently. There is one thing that you can be completely satisfied about and that is knowing Christ. You can be satisfied right now, without ever regretting the decision later in life, by knowing Christ in a real and personal way.

When you spend time with God, reading His Word and praying, it is not just down time or wasted time, it is the very fuel to your fire. It is the lifeline to you to spend time with Christ. A large part of dissatisfaction comes from things that offer no lasting value. The entertainment of the world does satisfy your flesh, but only for the short term. The enemy merely does more damage to you through temporary fixes. People turn to drug related abuse not because it offers them long term satisfaction, but temporary. It becomes a never ending cycle and a dangerous one.

The prophet Isaiah says the Lord will satisfy your desires. The Lord’s goodness and guidance will be just as if you were thirsting in a scorching hot desert and someone gave you a drink of cool water. He will guide you and give you satisfaction.

You might not feel satisfied with where you are in life or where you are with your walk in the Lord, but rest assured His promises include satisfaction to your soul, lasting satisfaction. The only place you can find genuine satisfaction is in Christ and His Word.

You can have satisfaction in life. Let the Lord draw you up a little closer to Him. Draw close to Him, and He will draw closer to you.

57-0602 - “Life”

You can't get satisfaction by joining a church. You only become mental. It's an intellectual affair. But you'll never be satisfied until you know Him, as the forgiveness of your sins, where the sin question is settled, and you have that lovely, peaceful, quiet, eternal, everlasting fellowship with Him, when the peace of God that passes all understanding has sanctified your soul, and has made you a new creature in Christ Jesus.
