Psalms 119:18

Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.

There are probably many things that you don’t quite understand about the Message of the Hour. The depth of the doctrine is such that it could confuse those who try to lay it out and piece it together. The Scripture works in the same way. The Apostle Peter said as much in II Peter 1:20, “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.” The Holy Spirit alone must make the things of Scripture and the Message real and meaningful to a Christian. The Holy Spirit pieces it together through revelation. If something isn’t clear, just leave it alone and place it before the Lord and wait.

If there are things that you don’t quite see about certain doctrines, such as the trinity, the rapture, or even basic principles such as baptism, it is perfectly okay. You need only lay it before God and search the Scriptures. May God have mercy on those who just try to stir up confusion by questions and concerns and offer no alternative truth. King David himself asked the Lord, “Open thou my eyes, that I may see wondrous things”  because he needed understanding. We need help to understand spiritual things.

Your eyes represent understanding when it comes to Scripture. Have you ever heard someone say, “Ah, I see!” when they really mean, “Ah, I understand what you are saying.” Your eyes represent the understanding of your heart and mind. There are wondrous things to behold in Scripture. The Message of the Hour points us to nothing but the Word and the Holy Spirit reveals it. When we, by the Holy Spirit, turn to the Word and wait upon the Lord wondrous things become visible to our eyes. It was in God’s mind to do this through a Prophet in the last days, to turn our hearts to the faith of the apostolic fathers.

Let your desire be to allow the Lord to open your eyes. Pray, “Lord help me to see what you would have me to see in your time.” Let the Holy Spirit bring into your view exactly what you need today.

Christ alone can open your eyes to the Word. Let Him open your eyes.

And that's the kind of the eyes tonight that must be opened, and there's only one salve that will do it. Oh, you couldn't take a shot of penicillin for it. Neither could you ever bathe your eyes with coon grease and do it. No doctor has a remedy for it. But God has a Holy Spirit of His anointing Oil that He pours on your oil—on your eyes, and you say, "Now I see. I once was lost and now I'm found, was blind but now I see." That's the eyes we want open. Can watch at the platform; look at the Bible; Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever. And your eyes open and you can see Him.
When your eyes come open, you go to work for God right quick. You don't worry no more. You just go to work. On the inside of the heart is the eyes, the eyes of understanding.
