1 John 4:18

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

Perfect love is not something you can just naturally possess. Perfect love is an attribute of God, which can only come from God. God is love.

When the Holy Spirit comes near, He drives away all the wrong kind of fear. His love surrounds us and brings us underneath His wing. There is no fear in His love. We must remember this truth. When the waves come crashing around you, all you need to know is that His wings are there to wrap around you, and carry you through any storm.

In order for your faith to operate, there cannot be any of the wrong kind of fear present. That doesn’t mean that it will be easy to alleviate all the fear; it will be extremely hard, because as soon as you set out to cast away fear, all of the enemy’s efforts will be focused on you. The best way to let faith operate, and cast out all fear, is to let God do it.

When perfect love comes into the situation, then God comes into the situation. Love covers a multitude of sins. It’s the most important of the fruits of the Spirit; it is God Himself. Therefore, when God comes on the scene, His love covers every ounce of your being, and completely casts out any fear the enemy could instill.

You simply have to let God come on the scene by drawing close to Him. When God is on the scene, and fear is gone, then faith can operate uninhibited, and no demon could stand in the way.

There is no torment and fear in God’s love. Let the love of God come into you.
