Ephesians 5:15

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise.

There is no better example of someone with a need to walk circumspectly than a tightrope walker. Also known as funambulists, tightrope walkers have to walk very carefully. Their lives depend on it. Here, the Apostle Paul tells us as Believers, “walk circumspectly”.

The Greek word used here is akribos, from which we get our word, “acrobat”.  Akribos, in the context the Apostle uses, means “to walk with great care, walk with precision, very carefully and soberly”. A Believer needs to walk the road of life very carefully and sincerely, knowing that the enemy lays traps wherever he possibly can. In life situations, the enemy is there; so be careful, and walk circumspectly. In your family, walk with sobriety, because the enemy will try to get in wherever he can.

Walking carefully takes balance. Especially when you are on a tightrope. We should not live our lives slothfully, or out of balance. We shouldn’t lean too far to one side or the other; but we should live for the Lord in direct alignment with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will always be right in line with His Word.

Are you walking through the circumstances of your life and the issues that arise with care, precision, and sobriety? Surrender all of your life to the Lord, so He can keep you in balance and guide you in your steps more clearly.

We should take each step, asking the Lord where to place it.

Walk circumspectly.

63-1124E - “Three Kinds of Believers”

The Bible said that he (Abraham) was fully persuaded that God was able to perform what He said He'd do. That ought to be in the achievement of every believer this afternoon. God's able to keep every Word that He said He'd do. I don't care what the denominations say, the word: "The day of miracles is passed, and all this is telepathy, and fortunetelling..." It doesn't matter to me what they say. I still believe if that gun is zeroed to the target, it'll hit the target. And I believe if a believer is zeroed with the Word of God, it'll hit the same thing that the Word of God ever promised. It'll do it again. I'm fully persuaded of that, that when we see we're in this age when it's supposed to be here... These things are supposed to take place.
