Ruth 4:9-10

And Boaz said unto the elders, and unto all the people, Ye are witnesses this day, that I have bought all that was Elimelech's, and all that was Chilion's and Mahlon's, of the hand of Naomi. Moreover Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, have I purchased to be my wife, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance, that the name of the dead be not cut off from among his brethren, and from the gate of his place: ye are witnesses this day.

The book of Ruth is one of the most amazing romance stories ever told. It tells us the story of a Moabite woman who travels to Judah with her widowed mother-in-law, through the oddest of circumstances. It also portrays the most accurate type of redemption in all of Scripture. Through Elimelech’s decision to move his family to Moab, the Lord brought Ruth onto the path of Boaz so that from their marriage union King David would arise, centuries later.

There was a special character in Ruth that caught the attention of Boaz. She caught his eye in the field one day, and after he learned about her story, and all she had done, and all she was doing for Naomi, he recognized that she was a virtuous woman. He was willing to do whatever it took to have Ruth as his wife; and she was willing to do the same to be his wife.

The same is true with Christ concerning you, as His Bride. It is during our journey, that we as Believers, like Ruth, are recognized by Him and sell out everything of the world and accept Him completely. He sees character in us, as Boaz recognized character in Ruth. She didn't know the end of the story until it happened, but we know the beginning and the end of our story. We know God’s entire plan of redemption concerning us.

Rest assured in God’s plan concerning you. He is looking for that virtuous Bride, that is made the way she is by His own purchase.

You have found Grace in His sight. Just keep working in the field until He comes by.

60-1002 - “The Kinsman Redeemer”

…Boaz represented Christ, the rich man, the heir of all things, the Lord of the harvest. How when Boaz come riding out there in that carriage, looking around over the fields, and his eyes fell on Ruth. He was master. He was lord of the harvest. And she found grace in his sight.
That's what the church does today. While the Lord of the harvest is going by, He ain't looking to big buildings, big steeples, well trained choirs. He's looking for individuals: men and women who are dedicated and made a clean-cut for Christ, consecrated themselves to His service, "God, I believe It, every Word of It. When Your Word says anything, I stay right with It. That's Your Word. I believe It, every Word." That's what He's looking for, the Lord of the harvest. That's what He wants, to give the Holy Spirit to those who are hungering and thirsting. "Blessed are ye that hunger and thirst, for ye shall be filled." He's trying to find that church today.
