Psalm 91:11-12
“For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.”

I would imagine there was a breeze blowing as they stood there at the highest point of the temple. Satan says to Jesus, “Throw yourself down there if you really are the Son of God, won’t the angels catch you?” Jesus may have looked down upon the priests and the Israelites around the temple grounds going about their daily routines, angels all around watching, waiting to see whether Jesus would step off the edge. If there was anyone who knew that there were thousands of angels around them, it was Him. Yet Jesus understood the Scripture in Deuteronomy 6:16, that says, “Don’t test the Lord”. He knew the angels were around Him.

You may look around yourself and wonder how God could encamp angels round about you, but they are there. The Scripture promises you, “The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them” (Psalms 34:7). This one thing you must hold on to: though you may not feel like He is there, Christ is always with you. Even the devil knew this when he tempted Jesus, and if he knows it and believes it, so should you.

They are watching over you and your family. They can avert the danger at the command of God. They watch over your home and your families. Angels are encamped round about you to come alongside you in your time of need. We must always remember this and trust that He is near. To fear the Lord is to have reverential trust in Him and to keep His ways. Don’t fear, but trust that the angels of the Lord are encamped round about you and your household.

Many times and every time, that a man ever done anything that's worth anything, he walked alone with God. But we think we have to have some great something around us to secure us. The believer has, that company of angels, the Holy Spirit is encompanied about. The angels are encamped; they don't move; they stay right with them, those who fear the Lord. They watch for every move.
